Flour/Maida

Maida is a white flour from the Indian subcontinent, made from wheat. Finely milled without any bran, refined, and bleached, it closely resembles cake flour. Maida is used extensively for making fast foods, baked goods such as pastries, bread, several varieties of sweets, and traditional flatbreads.

Maida is also known as refined flour or all purpose flour as it can be used in making of wide variety of products. It is used extensively for making fast foods, baked goods such as breads, cakes, pastries, and certain kind of nankeens. In maida processing, wheat endosperm is removed from the germ and bran.
